Organize Your Office - An Impossible Dream?
It’s important to organize your life. When everything is more organized you can do and achieve much more. In fact, success depends to a large degree on how well you can organize things. And what would your life look like if it was ideally organized?
And a big part of fully organizing your life is to capture all important thoughts and things into a practical system.
Life when disorganized is filled with pressure, dissatisfaction and frustration in all 3 major realms of life.
Consider that the physical realm of your life involves the people, environment, and things like your health, security and financial situation.
Your emotional realm can be thought of as your ’spiritual’ part of life. This includes your happiness, peace, and sense of adventure.
Third is the mental realm. To mentally organize your thinking. This area involves your mental abilities of learning, questioning, reasoning, etc. All vital for how to get organized now. organized living
I have got 3 great exercises for you that will help you be more mindful of those 3 realms whilst aiding you in organizing your life.
A. Short Range: 10 Minutes Get-On-Track Exercise. All you need do whenever you feel overwhelmed is sit down with pen and paper and write out what’s on your mind. It’s one of those things that are so simple that we think surely it can’t be that easy to get past the present frustration. But it works. So use it regularly.
B. Medium Range: Weekend Review to Organize Life. On a regular basis, perhaps weekly or so, take some extra time to think through the past week and project ahead into the week coming. Use your calendar when you do this weekend review and you will easily find your life becoming more organized. organize tips
If you can maintain doing a weekly review of any sort for a few weeks you will probably see how useful it is.
Quite frankly, it’s tough work to maintain this discipline, until you are emotionally attached to the results it produces. So try your best to make it happen weekly. Don’t let your brain ‘forget’ about doing it too often.
Call yourself all sorts of bad names to motivate yourself if you’re being too lazy. And it doesn’t have to be hard. Just grab pen and paper and jot down the thoughts on your mind about what happened the week before and what’s on the agenda for the coming week. Would this help: professional organizer tips?
Keep your notes from week to week and review the last weeks notes when you do this weeks review. You’ll surprise yourself at how much better your life is organized and the direction you are going in within just a few months.
C. Long-Range: Your Life’s Big Picture. Here’s a fact established by Brian Tracy. 3% of the population write down their goals.
You should go to great lengths to nail down the big important things in your life. Your ultimate success and satisfaction depends on you being organized with your big ambitions and values.
So with those three techniques you can greatly improve where your life is headed for all 3 realms of physical, mental and emotional. Again the 3 exercises are A. to review what’s going on right now with a 10 minute review. B. The weekly review of last week and the coming week. And C. the long-range view with your important big goals.
Don’t worry about getting the 3 exercises right or wrong. The only mistake is to not do them. Simply by writing your ideas down I guarantee they will start to flow. Ask yourself question. What do I want. What have I done. etc. organize your office
