The LED is then coupled with an LDR, allowing the envelope to control the amplitude and pitch of an audio oscillator. Here’s a link to the schematic: www.sonodrome.co.uk In this particular implementation the frequency control is quite sensitive to impedance on the audio output, to get consistent pitch modulation we recommend using a buffer on the audio output.

Question by labamba32: Does anyone know of a brand of stop watch with a large LED display?
I umpire softball games and am tired of the players complaining that I have shorted them on their time for the game. So i’m looking for a stop watch (or a count down timer would be even better) that has a large LED display (something big enough that people could read it from about 20 feet away. It needs to be something that I could somehow attach some strings to so I can hook it to the backstop fence, and it needs to be battery operated. Any ideas?

Mannheim, Germany (PRWEB) November 08, 2011

Top rated and feature rich high-end iPhone camera app ProCamera just released a major update – version 3.3, with ?Steady Light?, and ?Volume-Trigger.?

As always, Apple approved the new update extremely quickly.

Volume Trigger allows users to snap photos simply by pressing the volume control button on the iPhone when using the ProCamera app. This makes the iPhone feel and function like most single purpose ?point and shoot? cameras. Volume Trigger also offers users the option of taking photos using the earbud (?headset?) volume controls. This is a particularly cool function as it allows iPhone users to take pictures ?at arms length? (length of your earbud cord) without touching the iPhone.

ProCamera?s creator, Jens Daemgen said: ?Apple has a simple API (“UIImagePickerController”) for very simple camera apps to support the volume trigger out of the box; but has not created an API for advanced camera apps to support the volume trigger. Advanced apps that use the complex API (?AVFoundation?) don’t get access to the hardware buttons the way they should. The component that most simple apps use just offers a ?take a photo? option, and it doesn?t come with any advanced features like separating focus and exposure, or white balance lock or whatever. (I suspect that Apple will provide a new API that solves this issue soon.)?

Jens then added, ?When using ProCamera the volume control buttons have two functions: the volume controls continue to work and the display shows the current volume level; and you can also take a photo.?

ProCamera offers the Volume Trigger, with all the advanced features.

This update also includes ?Steady Light?: Users can switch their flashlight to on/off/auto and additionally combine it with ?steady light? whenever they need it! Users can also choose the right flashlight intensity for every situation.

This feature allows users to shoot photos in dim light or even in complete darkness. With Steady Light users are able to literally brighten up the subject of the photo before using the digital flash. This solves the issue that the camera?s focus can not be accurate using only the flash light.

Users can also use Steady Light when they need a light in the dark to unlock the car, when they are looking for the house-keys, or when they find themselves on a dark path at night and need to know what?s ahead. Steady Light will be used for both practical tasks and creative iPhotography projects. We hope that this new user-friendly tool will become a favorite of ProCamera?s fans.

Other improvements in this version:
